Center for American Progress: 3 Key Challenges, April 8, 2014

This report published in the Center for American Progress defines 3 key challenges to fighting commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) or domestic minor sex trafficking in the U.S. They cite a lack of data, need for reframing the issue, and overlapping systems as the three biggest barriers to making headway in the fight against CSEC in the U.S.

January 2014: Fairfax County, VA

Another county and district are pairing up out in Fairfax County, Virginia, to address the sex trafficking they see among the youth. They begin instructing their students on the dangers of sex trafficking, including tactics used by traffickers, in February 2014.

December 2013: Oakland, CA

Madison is not the only district dealing with sex trafficking of their students--boys and girls alike. Next fall, they are using the curriculumLove Never Fails to teach every one of their 7th graders about the reality of sexual exploitation.
